60-Day Replacement Warranty: Every ASIC Miner, New and Refurbished
Every ASIC mining unit sold by The Miner Island, new or refurbished, is covered by our 60-day written replacement warranty from the date of confirmed delivery. This warranty is our own coverage and sits on top of any applicable manufacturer warranty. If a covered fault is confirmed within 60 days, we dispatch a replacement unit DDP-paid from our Hong Kong warehouse. We do not issue refunds.
Buying mining hardware with crypto should not mean buying blind. Our written warranty gives you a clear, enforceable commitment in plain language, so you know exactly what happens if a unit fails.
1. What the Warranty Covers
Our 60-day replacement warranty covers hardware faults and manufacturing defects that cause the unit to fail or operate significantly below its specified performance under normal operating conditions.
Covered faults include:
- Complete failure to power on (Dead on Arrival)
- Hash board failure not caused by external factors
- Control board failure not caused by external factors
- Fan failure present on arrival or occurring within the warranty period
- Confirmed manufacturing defects verified by our technical team
2. What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Damage caused by improper installation or electrical surges
- Damage caused by operating the unit outside manufacturer-specified voltage, temperature, or humidity ranges
- Damage caused by unauthorized modification, repair, or disassembly
- Physical damage caused after delivery
- Performance degradation caused by network difficulty, mining pool issues, or firmware not supplied by the manufacturer
- Normal wear consistent with the unit's age and usage
- Units with tampered or removed serial number labels
3. Warranty Coverage: New vs Refurbished Units
New Units
All new ASIC miners carry the full 60-day replacement warranty from the date of confirmed delivery, in addition to the manufacturer's own warranty where applicable.
Refurbished Units
All refurbished ASIC miners are tested and verified at our Hong Kong warehouse before dispatch. Refurbished units carry the full 60-day replacement warranty from the date of confirmed delivery. The warranty terms and exclusions are identical to new unit coverage.
4. How to File a Warranty Claim
- Email sales@theminerisland.com within 60 days of confirmed delivery
- Include your order number, product model, and serial number
- Provide a clear description of the fault
- Attach photo or video evidence showing the issue
- Do not attempt to open, modify, or repair the unit before contacting us. Doing so voids the warranty.
We will review your claim and respond within one business day. If the fault is confirmed, a replacement unit will be dispatched from our Hong Kong warehouse.
5. Warranty Resolution: Replacement Only
The Miner Island warranty resolves exclusively through unit replacement. We do not issue cash or cryptocurrency refunds as a warranty resolution. If a valid warranty claim is confirmed, a replacement unit of the same model and specification will be dispatched DDP-paid to your original delivery address.
If the exact model is no longer available, we will offer a replacement of equivalent or greater specification. This will be agreed in writing before dispatch.
6. Return of Defective Units
In some cases we may require the defective unit to be returned before the replacement is dispatched. If a return is required:
- We will provide a return shipping label or arrange collection at our cost
- The unit must be returned in its original or equivalent protective packaging
- Return shipping must use a tracked and insured method
In cases where a return is not required, we may ask for additional documentation or evidence to close the claim.
7. Manufacturer Warranty
Some units may also carry a separate manufacturer warranty from Bitmain, MicroBT, IceRiver, Canaan, Goldshell, or ElphaPex. Our 60-day replacement warranty is independent of and additional to any manufacturer coverage. Where a manufacturer warranty applies and extends beyond our 60-day period, we will assist in directing your claim to the appropriate manufacturer channel after our warranty period ends.
