All sales at The Miner Island are final. Cryptocurrency payments are irreversible once confirmed on the blockchain, and we do not issue refunds under any circumstances after payment is complete. This page explains exactly what is covered, what is not, and how to file a Dead on Arrival (DOA) or defect claim on your ASIC mining hardware.

If a unit arrives Dead on Arrival or develops a confirmed manufacturing defect, you are protected. Our 60-Day Replacement Warranty covers you with a replacement unit shipped DDP-paid from our Hong Kong warehouse, so a faulty miner never leaves you stranded.

1. No Refund Policy

The Miner Island does not issue refunds once a payment is confirmed on the blockchain. All sales are final. Because we accept cryptocurrency only and on-chain transactions cannot be reversed, we are unable to return funds after a transaction settles.

No refund will be issued for:

  • Change of mind after payment
  • Mining profitability concerns after purchase
  • Market price movements after payment is confirmed
  • Network difficulty or hashrate changes
  • Power cost or operational changes at your facility
  • Buyer error in selecting the hardware model or specifications
  • Shipping delays caused by couriers, customs, or logistics providers
  • Any other reason not covered by a valid DOA or defect claim

If your unit is Dead on Arrival or has a confirmed manufacturing defect, you are covered under our 60-Day Replacement Warranty. A replacement unit will be dispatched, not a cash or crypto refund.

2. Dead on Arrival (DOA) Coverage

A unit is considered Dead on Arrival if it fails to power on or operate at all upon first use, with no evidence of physical damage caused after delivery.

DOA claims must be reported to us within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. Claims reported after 48 hours will be assessed under the standard 60-Day Replacement Warranty instead.

To file a DOA claim:

  • Email sales@theminerisland.com within 48 hours of delivery
  • Include your order number, product model, and serial number
  • Provide photo or video evidence showing the unit failing to operate
  • Do not attempt to open, modify, or repair the unit before contacting us

We will review your claim and respond within one business day. Valid DOA claims result in a replacement unit being dispatched, not a refund.

3. Manufacturing Defects

Units with confirmed manufacturing defects are covered under our 60-Day Replacement Warranty from the date of delivery. A manufacturing defect is a fault that exists in the unit as shipped and is not caused by installation, environmental conditions, electrical issues, or misuse after delivery.

To file a defect claim, contact us at sales@theminerisland.com with your order number, serial number, a description of the fault, and supporting photo or video evidence.

4. What Is Not Covered

The following are not eligible for return, replacement, or refund:

  • Units damaged through improper installation, electrical surges, or environmental conditions
  • Units that have been opened, modified, or repaired by the buyer or a third party
  • Units returned without prior written approval from The Miner Island
  • Hardware purchased as refurbished with a known, disclosed condition
  • Damage caused by operating the unit outside manufacturer-specified conditions
  • Performance dissatisfaction not caused by a hardware fault
  • Shipping delays or customs detentions

5. Return Conditions

All returns must be approved in writing by The Miner Island before the unit is shipped back. Unauthorized returns will be refused at our warehouse.

Approved returns must:

  • Be shipped in original or equivalent protective packaging
  • Include all original accessories and documentation
  • Be sent using a tracked and insured shipping method
  • Include the approved return reference number provided by our team

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless the return is the result of a shipping error on our part.

6. The Only Exception to the No-Refund Policy

The only circumstance in which a payment is returned is if The Miner Island cancels an order before fulfillment due to stock unavailability. In that case, the full payment amount is returned in the same cryptocurrency in which it was received, within 24 hours of cancellation.

7. File a DOA or Defect Claim

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery for DOA claims, or within 60 days of delivery for warranty defect claims. Our team responds 7 days a week and will guide you through the replacement process.
