Shipping and DDP Policy: ASIC Mining Hardware Delivered Duty Paid Worldwide
The Miner Island ships all ASIC mining hardware on a DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) basis in accordance with Incoterms 2020. We handle all customs duties, import taxes, and clearance fees before your order reaches your door. You pay one price at checkout. There are no surprise bills from your local customs office at delivery.
1. Shipping origin
All orders dispatch from our Hong Kong warehouse. Holding inventory in Hong Kong gives us direct proximity to our manufacturers, deeper stock across more models, and faster access to newly released platforms than vendors operating from higher-cost regions.
2. Shipping cost
- Orders under $5,000: flat $150 USD per unit DDP shipping fee, applied at checkout
- Orders over $5,000: DDP shipping is included free
- Bulk and multi-unit orders: contact us on WhatsApp for a custom consolidated freight quote. Bulk shipments regularly achieve better per-unit shipping rates.
All shipping costs are final at checkout. No additional fees are charged after payment is confirmed.
3. Order processing and dispatch times
New ASIC miners
Orders are processed once full payment is confirmed on the blockchain. New units are dispatched from our Hong Kong warehouse within 24 to 72 hours of payment confirmation.
Refurbished ASIC miners
Refurbished units undergo testing and quality verification before dispatch. Dispatch occurs within 24 to 72 hours of testing completion. Your sales contact will confirm the expected dispatch timeline at the time of order.
Staged 50/50 payment orders
Processing begins once the 50% deposit is confirmed on the blockchain. Dispatch occurs after the remaining 50% balance is confirmed.
Bulk orders
Dispatch timelines for bulk orders of 50 or more units are confirmed in writing as part of the procurement process. Contact us before ordering to agree a timeline.
4. Estimated delivery timeframes
Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. Actual transit times depend on destination, courier, and customs processing.
Contact us before placing your order if you have a hard delivery deadline to confirm whether it can be met.
5. What DDP means for you
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) under Incoterms 2020 means The Miner Island assumes full responsibility for the shipment from our Hong Kong warehouse to your delivery address, including:
- All export documentation and clearance from Hong Kong
- International freight costs
- Import customs duties and clearance in your country
- Import taxes and VAT where applicable
You will not be contacted by customs authorities for payment on a DDP order. All charges are settled by us before delivery.
The only exception is where a buyer specifically requests a non-DDP shipping arrangement on a bulk order. In that case, customs responsibility transfers to the buyer and is agreed in writing before the order is placed.
6. Tracking
Tracking information is sent to your registered email address once your order has been dispatched from our Hong Kong warehouse. You can monitor your shipment in real time through the courier's official tracking system. If you have not received tracking information within 72 hours of payment confirmation, contact us at sales@theminerisland.com.
7. Risk of loss
Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon confirmed delivery to the shipping address provided at checkout. We package every unit securely and provide all required export and customs documentation before dispatch. If a shipment is damaged in transit, contact us immediately with photographic evidence and we will assist with the courier claims process.
8. Customs delays
The Miner Island is not liable for delays caused by customs inspections, regulatory reviews, or circumstances outside our control including weather events, public holidays, or force majeure. We provide all documentation required for customs clearance and will respond promptly to any customs authority requests to expedite release of your shipment.
9. Restricted destinations
It is your responsibility to confirm that the import of ASIC cryptocurrency mining hardware is permitted in your country or region before placing an order. The Miner Island is not responsible for shipments detained, seized, or refused by customs authorities due to local import restrictions. No refunds are issued in these circumstances.
