Meet the six people who pack your order
The ASIC industry has a trust problem, and most of it comes down to anonymity. A huge share of "vendors" are a logo, a slick site, and a Telegram handle with no human behind it you can name, verify, or hold accountable. When something goes wrong, there is no one to talk to, because there was never really anyone there.
We decided to do the opposite, and put our actual team on the site. Here is the thinking behind that, and why it matters for you as a buyer.
Six people, one warehouse
The Miner Island is run by a small team based around our Hong Kong fulfilment facility. Sales, technical QA, packing and dispatch, and operations. Real names, real roles, and real faces on our Our Team page. Not stock photos, not invented personas, the people who actually handle your order.
That is a deliberately small operation, and we think that is a feature, not a limitation. A small named team is accountable in a way an anonymous storefront never is. When you talk to a salesperson, that is a specific person you can verify. When a technician bench-tests your unit, that is a specific person whose job is to catch the defect before it ships.
Why we made staff individually verifiable
Putting faces on a page is a start, but it does not stop the most common scam in this industry: impersonation. Scammers clone a real vendor's branding and a real salesperson's profile photo, then approach buyers on WhatsApp or Telegram pretending to be staff, and collect crypto deposits that go nowhere.
So we built the Staff Verification page. Before you send any payment, you enter the number or handle of the person you are talking to, and the page tells you instantly whether it belongs to a real Miner Island staff member. If it does not appear as verified, it is not us, full stop. This is the single most important check a first-time buyer can run, and it takes about ten seconds.
The open-book philosophy
The team page and the staff verifier are part of a broader choice to operate as an open book. The same philosophy runs through:
- Our Corporate Verification page, where you can independently confirm our Maine LLC charter on the state registry.
- The pre-shipment photos we log against every order, serial visible.
- The warehouse shelf photos and video we will send on request before you pay.
- The factory updates you are reading right now, where we explain how we actually operate rather than just asserting that we are trustworthy.
None of this is expensive to do. It is just a choice most vendors decline to make, because anonymity is easier and because some of them have reasons to stay anonymous. We would rather you be able to check everything.
What this means for you
When you place an order, you are not sending crypto into a void. You are buying from a named, registered, verifiable operation with people who can be held accountable for what they ship you. If that sounds like a low bar, it is, and it is striking how few ASIC vendors clear it.
